Hello Blogland!

I’m Carrie, and I’m your resident amateur on the blog.  I love movies and classic movies have become a new hobby for me.

I have an unabashed love for Gregory Peck, Cary Grant, and Gene Kelly. My ideal self is a cross between Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn, and Irene Dunne.

The big blog challenge is choosing a top five movies of all time. I’m unsure about mine, so feel free to check back frequently. My list may change weekly–ha!

This week’s selection of movies you must see:

• Sabrina (great story, great dialogue, great cast, and repeatable watch-ability),

• Spellbound (my favourite Hitchcock- I really found myself having a good time watching it, even though I wasn’t a big Hitchcock fan at the time),

• Anchors Aweigh (it was between this one and Singin’ in the Rain),

• To Kill a Mockingbird (one of my favourite books, as well),

• Arsenic and Old Lace (the comedic timing is flawless).
